If anyone knew everything and anything there is to know about our little red dot of a country ...

The whole of our little island is now suffering from the pervasive pall of acrid smoke in the air ... from the yearly "" slash and burn "" cultivation of Indonesian farmers.
"" The Haze "" as we have come to know it, has now become so much a part and parcel of our life that we have come to measure it by a " PSI " LEVEL ...
"" PSI "" being acronym for "" Pollutant Standard Index ""
Have a view of what us poor souls are suffering from ...
It's just this ...
How is one supposed to dress in this blistering humid madness of the heat ???
For those who do not live in our part of the world, it is quite difficult to imagine how one can be felled by the blistering hot humidity !!! I know many a Caucasian who becomes a Sun Worshipper the moment Summer makes it's presence felt ... For us Singaporeans who have nothing much to look forward to besides SUN , SUN AND MORE SUN
( interspersed with occasional downpours ), it is really quite difficult to understand this pagan worship of the sun !!! HAHAHA !!!
So ... Like I said ..
How does one dress in this blistering heat ... balancing a fine line between individual comfort and fashion faux pas !!!
I mean, personally ... if I had my way, I would be dressed in the skimpiest of clothes wherever I go ...
whether indoors or out ...
This would be the ultimate in individual cool comfort ... short of running around in one's birthday suit !!!
Sadly for me, I can't do that !!!
However, at the moment, truth be told, I doubt anyone cares just how we are dressed ...
even if we look like circus clowns walking the streets !!!
Our main concern for now is SURVIVAL ... as a thick pall of haze envelopes our whole atmosphere !!!
The very old and young are at risk ... and those with respiratory problems like asthma are really struggling so very hard to breathe !!!
I myself walk around like one with advanced emphysema ... as breathing this foul air brings a bout of persistant, hacking cough that can actually fell you.
If any outsider should have the unfortunate experience of visiting our fair shores at the moment, they would
probably think that they landed in a WAR TORN ZONE ... after the bombs did their worst on us !!!
There is a thick blanket clouding the whole country ...
Our citizens are walking with masks around their faces that look more like muzzles on a rabid dog than
a Fashion Statement !!!
Fashion Faux Pas ??? I DO BELIEVE BASICALLY NO ONE CARES FOR NOW !!!
