People seem to genuinely enjoy reading my BLOG !!!
I was so afraid that it would not be up to par ... or worse ... insipid and boring !!!
Instead, I have been getting really encouraging feedback from people everywhere ...
that my blog is both entertaining and makes for interesting reading. Some have even suggested that I send my blog for publishing for a commission ...
LIKE I SAID ... TOTALLY AWESOME AND ENCOURAGING !!!
However, as this is only my 2ND BLOG EVER to be posted ...
I think I will remain " humble " for now ... as humble as I know how anyway !!!
At the moment, I am writing at leisure and the creative juices seem to be flowing
quite easily ......
However, the same might not be said if I were to write for a commission or stipend.
Though it would be nice to attach a monetary reward to something that I really enjoy doing and seems to come quite naturally to me, I might then have a lot of inflexible parameters I would have to adhere to, and red tape I would have to contend with.
I may then not be able to churn out any interesting stuff at all ...
The " powers that be " might not be partial to my warp and crazy sense of humour and might actually have the audacity to curtail my imagination.
I would then be a lost aimless soul, bereft of the very essence that makes me crazy and unique !!!
OR
I might actually suffer from " WRITER'S BLOCK " ( ahem !!! ), and my mind might always be in a perpetual whirlpool ... with me smoking cigarette after cigarette and drinking copious cups of black coffee trying to meet these editors' deadlines !!!
AARRRRGHHH !!!! It would then be back to the mad life of a harried accountant !!!
So I think for now, it is just safer for me to sit on my bed, watching my favourite tv shows, happily typing away on my trusty laptop, as creative juices start to flow ....
For now, I still have a weekly schedule I have to adhere to ... but at least there are no inflexible deadlines ... purple-faced editors screaming in my face .... or poor harried me having no control whatsoever as to the content or direction of my page.
